RYA Seamanship Skills (Dinghy or Keelboat) - How to handle a boat in all circumstances and solve problems afloat
The course is designed to teach you launching and recovering the boat in different circumstances, stopping, reducing sail, recovering a man overboard, anchoring. Subsequent to the completion of the course, you will be able to handle a wide range of situations afloat
You will need to have sailing and background knowledge to the standard of the Level 2 course.
Day Sailing (Dinghy or Keelboat) - Passage planning and decision making for small boat cruising
The course is designed to teach you preparing and planning for a day cruise, pilotage and decision making including adverse conditions. Subsequent to the completion of the course, you will be able to plan and execute a cruise, depending on conditions
You will need to have sailing and background knowledge to the standard of the Level 2 course.
Sailing with Spinnakers (Dinghy or Keelboat) - Everything you need to know about sailing with conventional or asymmetric spinnakers
The course is designed to teach you how to rig the boat, gybe and recover one type of spinnaker, either conventional or asymmetric and addition to how to sail the best possible course downwind. Subsequent to the completion of the course, you will be able to use one type of spinnaker, conventional or asymmetric.
You will need to have sailing and background knowledge to the standard of the Level 2 course.
Performance Sailing (Keelboat Only) - Improve your boat handling and confidence in performance dinghies
The course is designed to teach you coaching to improve your sailing, primarily in two person boats with spinnakers. Subsequent to the completion of the course, you will be able to sail faster and more efficiently in all conditions.
You will need to have sailing and background knowledge to the standard of the Level 2 course.
